A Fresh Track: Redesigning the Anchorage Snowmobile Club Website

The Anchorage Snowmobile Club (ASC) is more than a group of riders—it’s a community of outdoor enthusiasts, trail stewards, and Alaskans passionate about backcountry access. But until recently, their website didn’t reflect that energy.

When ASC came to us, their existing site was functional—but felt dated, hard to navigate, and lacked the warmth and clarity needed to welcome new members, partners, and event-goers.

The Challenge:

  • Refresh the design to reflect the club’s active, inclusive community

  • Improve navigation for members looking for events, trail info, and safety tips

  • Create a better experience for new riders and potential sponsors

  • Ensure mobile responsiveness and make content updates easy

What We Did:

We worked closely with ASC leadership to understand how members use the site—what matters most, what gets ignored, and what features could create more engagement. Then we:

  • Designed a clean, modern layout that’s mobile-optimized

  • Created clear calls to action for joining, donating, and RSVPing to rides

  • Built a dedicated safety and education section

  • Streamlined event listings and contact info

  • Added a homepage news feed to highlight what’s new

  • Created a structure that ASC can easily update in-house, even during peak riding season

Bonus Feature:

ASC now has a Swap Meet & Newsletter hub, giving members direct access to resources and updates—all within a few clicks.

Pro Tip: For Nonprofits, Build for Growth

Your website isn’t just a digital business card—it’s a living, breathing tool to grow your mission. For clubs, nonprofits, and associations, your site should:

  • Make it ridiculously easy for new people to join or get involved

  • Tell your story visually and emotionally

  • Be update-friendly so you can move fast when the season changes

If your site hasn’t grown with your organization, it’s time to get back on trail.
